The 2008 Animal Services Calendar has arrived! This year's calendar features heartwarming success stories of pets who were adopted from our shelter by Animal Services employees. The pets are professionally photographed by KarenLeslie Photography.

"The pets featured in this year's calendar have come from a variety of difficult situations—many were sick, injured, abandoned, victims of cruelty or otherwise challenged," said Katie Lockett, manager of Animal Services. "In many cases, Animal Services employees fostered these animals back to health and when no one else would adopt them, they gave them permanent, loving homes."

The now-happy family pets were beatifully photographed by KarenLeslie Photography, which donated its services to benefit the animals.

"I'm a huge animal lover myself, so I was thrilled to help showcase these animals that were given a chance at life," said Karen Leslie Pelczar, owner of KarenLeslie Photography. "I'm happy to give something back to the community through my photography."

The calendars are available for $10 at Orange County Animal Services. All proceeds go to the Animal Services Trust Fund, which funds animal-focused projects in Orange County. They may be purchased in the front lobby of Animal Services at 2769 Conroy Road, Orlando, FL 32839.
