Potentially Dangerous Dog Definition

|
Potentially dangerous shall mean any dog that, according to animal services division records, other animal control or law enforcement authorities, or as attested to by sworn affidavit, has posed a threat to public safety by:
- Causing an injury to a person or domestic animal that is less than a severe injury; or
- Without provocation, chasing or menacing a person or domestic animal in an aggressive manner; or
- Without provocation, repeatedly acting in a highly aggressive manner within a fenced yard/enclosure and appears to a reasonable person able to jump over or escape; or
- Dogs used by law enforcement officials for law enforcement work are exempt from potentially dangerous dog classification.
